Seis Manos, an animated series set in Mexico is coming to Netflix.

A few weeks ago VIZ media previewed a clip of Seis Manos on Youtube: watch here.

VIZ Media LLC is an American manga and anime distribution and entertainment company headquartered in San Francisco, California. It was founded in 1986 as VIZ LLC.  Viz Media was the company that brought us Shonen Jump to the west. Shonen Jump brought mangas of One Piece, Inuyasha, and Dragon Ball Z to a western audience. It should be noted that manga is not the only thing they publish, they also publish films and books. Most recently they brought Detective Pikachu to the Big Screen. To learn more about their previous projects click here. Seis Manos, however, is their first original animated title to be released. Viz media teamed up with Texas-based animation company Power House animation. Seis Manos is set to launch globally on Netflix later this year. Set in Mexico in the 1970’s era, Seis Manos centers on three orphaned martial arts warriors who join forces with a DEA agent and a Mexican Federal to battle for justice after their beloved mentor is murdered on the streets of their tiny border town.

Not else much is know but we’re excited to see more POC in anime. Here’s the landing page for Netflix, we are sure that it will be updated as the release date nears closer.
